Just having his music, which revealed his inner soul, and beautiful photographs and videos to remember him by, is good enough for me. Jeff's spirit and legacy is always close at hand and in our hearts.
I am really confused... is Jeff buried in Mississippi Zoo, or there is just a memorial. I'm asking because I want to see him once in my life. I just wanna know where to go.
Sadly, there is no public burial for Jeff. I do believe his mother has his ashes. The memorial at the Memphis Zoo is just a plaque in his memory. It was one of his favorite Memphis spots and reportedly, he was going to start volunteering there before he died. I’ve actually been to the Zoo and the memorial is a really special thing to see.
“Relentless, endless joy peaking into tears, resting in calmness, a simmering beauty. If you let yourself listen with the whole of yourself, you will have the pure feeling of flight while firmly rooted to the ground. Your soul can fly outward, stringed to your ribcage like a shimmering kite in the shape of an open hand. Be still and listen to the evidence of your own holiness.”—Jeff Buckley
