I just wanted to thank you for this blog. Jeff means a lot to me (as I'm sure he does to you too ;) & got me through one of the toughest periods in my life... seeing his lovely face all day on my Tumblr feed is so so nice. You really do find the greatest images! So thank you thank you. :) <3
Thank you for the kind words! That’s exactly why I love contributing to this blog, and I couldn’t agree more. Jeff gets me through a lot everyday and I’m eternally grateful. ♥
I'm sorry if you've answered this question before (I get so excited when I come across people who want to talk about Jeff Buckley!) but what was the first song of his you heard and what about it, struck you?
I have, but I never mind talking about Jeff! It was actually Lover, You Should Have Come Over via the Elliott Smith Radio Station on Last.fm. Initially I was entranced because I had never, in my life, heard a voice so beautiful and I haven’t heard anything like it since. Plus, the song is just ridiculously gorgeous. I had to find out more, and the rest is kind of history.
I somehow always end up listening to Buckley whenever I'm reading Bukowski :D Btw, what's your opinion on Penn Badgley playing Jeff?
Oh nice, I’m not as familiar with Bukowski as I want to be, so if he reminds you to listen to Jeff, I’m there. I’m not a huge fan, but that’s solely because I think he looks nothing like Jeff. Plus, I’m not has excited for Greetings, but I could always be pleasantly surprised!
So 2012 and 2013 have releases of Greetings from Tim Buckley and Mystery White Boy being released. I am freaking out, worried about how these movies will remold Buckleys image. What do you think? Are you a Kerouac fan? Hes also a hero of mine with 2 films to be relased as well. (Also, I love your blog so much.)
I know it’s a little much, sometimes I wonder why the sudden interest in Hollywood towards Buckley. So I am a little worried, but mostly for my own selfish reasons. I guess we’ll have to see them to find out. I think I’m more hopeful towards Mystery White Boy though. Yes, yes, yes love Kerouac, I need to read more of his works. I heard about the film for On The Road, but I didn’t know they were making another Kerouac movie, insane! Thank you very much. ♥
